Coronavirus Oberlin Mutual Aid fund
Donation protected
The Coronavirus Oberlin Mutual Aid Fund is an effort by students, for students, to support First Generation and/or Low-Income Obies in need of supplementary financial assistance during this era of COVID-19. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $30,000 to help at least 50 students to cover important costs. These costs include—but are not limited to—housing, food, scholarships, and COVID-19 testing fees.
As the Oberlin 2020-2021 schedule has been modified to maintain safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, students are wondering what to do with a myriad of resources that are now more difficult to solidify. These costs include—but are not limited to—housing, food, scholarships, and COVID-19 testing fees.
As a community of Oberlin students, we need to do everything we can to ensure that our peers have the resources they need in order to find safety outside of their Oberlin career as well as the adequate financial resources to succeed. These resources can be more difficult to obtain in a time of uncertainty where the college is unable to completely accommodate those who need financial support as well as secured housing and dining.
By donating to this effort, you will be adding to a pool of funds that will be redistributed to a number of (primarily low-income) students who would benefit from receiving financial support. The goal of this campaign is to aid students who are particularly struggling to find their needed resources in this time.
