Coronavirus: potenziamo la Croce Rossa Italiana

In questi giorni segnati dalla grave emergenza sanitaria che stiamo vivendo, ho riflettuto su cosa si possa fare in concreto per aiutare le persone che amiamo e la terra che ci ha cresciuti e a cui, tutti noi, siamo profondamente legati.

Mi ha colpito in particolare lo straordinario lavoro dei medici, degli infermieri, degli operatori sanitari e dei volontari che sono impegnati ogni giorno in prima linea nel prendersi cura delle persone che hanno contratto il virus.

È ora di agire: insieme possiamo aiutare i nostri eroi in corsia a combattere questa sfida, unendoci in un gesto di impegno, responsabilità e generosità.

Per questa ragione ho fatto una donazione a favore dell'Associazione della Croce Rossa Italiana, con cui siamo in stretto contatto e che opera su tutto il territorio nazionale, da nord a sud, e ho attivato insieme a loro questa raccolta fondi che verranno destinati a:

- Trasporti ad alto biocontenimento ed in sicurezza con ambulanze dotate di un sistema di filtraggio dell'aria;
- Soccorsi in emergenza; 
- Allestimento di tende di pre-triage di supporto agli ospedali su tutto il territorio nazionale;
- Consegna di farmaci e della spesa a domicilio per le persone più fragili come gli anziane e gli immunodepressi.

We are witnessing the outbreak of the most severe health emergency in years and I’ve been asking myself what can be done in order to help each other and the country we love so deeply.

I admire the outstanding work of all the doctors, nurses, volunteers and healthcare professionals fighting the virus on the front line and helping those infected, they are truly our heroes and we can, even from home, lend them a helping hand to fight this challenge: we can join forces together in a common effort through commitment, responsibility, and solidarity.

Therefore, I decided to donate to the Italian Red Cross Association, whose work brings help on a national level, from the northern region of the country, to the south. We are working closely with its representatives setting up this crowdfounding campaign in order to collect funds destined for the following aids:

- High-safety biocontainment systems for ambulances with air filtration technology;
- First-aid and emergency relief operations;
- Set up of pre-triage tents, providing support to hospitals nationwide;
- Home delivery service of medications and food for elderly people and immunosuppressed patients.
