Supporting the Children of Moyross

Dear friends,
Please take a minute to read this important appeal.
We are raising money for Corpus Christi primary school in Moyross, Co. Limerick which is in great need of support during COVID-19. For more than a decade, Moyross has been undergoing a government-backed regeneration program. However, in this process, far more houses have been demolished than have been built, resulting in severe overcrowding.
For years, Moyross has been an area synonymous with the societal ills that impact on 21st century Ireland.
The transformative work Corpus Christi School does is ensuring that education leads to opportunities for the children and families in their care. Every year, headmaster Tiernan O’Neill makes an appeal in Dalkey for funds to support the school in their incredible work. Because of the spread of COVID-19, the annual church gate collection cannot go ahead and therefore we are making this online appeal.
Money collected will be used to buy tablets so that the school can continue to support students with online classes and encouragement while the school is closed. For many kids, the school is their only safe space. Therefore, communication is vital for emotional support and intervention, particularly where there are children presenting with acute needs. As well as the purchase of tablets, funds will be used to provide psychological support after lockdown.
Please help wherever you can. Any amount you can spare will be put to good use.
