Maui Wildfire: Corpuz & Agustin Ohana Relief Fund
Donation protected
Our neighborhood destroyed.
My daughters & friends on the same wall just weeks prior to the fire.
Lahaina is home. It's a town full of history, memories, and aloha. My family, like many others, was impacted by the Maui fire on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. I am asking for your help with our journey to recovery.
In the aftermath, we have family members that are still unaccounted for and missing; we have those out of a job; and we have homes damaged or destroyed. Basic essentials for many are still limited and living necessities are not readily available.
My name is Richard Corpuz and I am from Lahaina. After graduating from Lahainaluna High School, I joined the military and left the islands. However, I regularly traveled back home. My parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins live in the impacted area and it is for these loved ones who I voice their need for help.
No amount is too small to assist in healing and rebuilding what was lost. Your direct donation will assist in providing hope and relief in a time when so much was tragically taken.
Aloha Nui Loa,
Corpuz & Agustin Ohana
As of September 1, 2023, these family members are still missing.
Allen and Leticia "Letty"
As of September 8, 2023 - Letty's remains was found and identified.
As of September 28, 2023 - Allen's remains was found and identified.
Rafael "Raffy"
As of September 10, 2023 - Raffy's remains was found and identified.
Many of our family members' homes are still restricted for them to access and return to see what remains. Varying government agencies are still in the process of looking for and identifying missing people. Family members are separated throughout the island and there are some kids who have not returned to school due to poor air quality or neighboring schools are either at capacity or located too far away.
