In Memoriam - Diana - Emergency Vet Bill Aftercare

Hello, friends.

I wish I wasn’t making this fundraiser.

At 3:47am, June 24th, 2024, my beloved Diana, my best friend, my whole world, passed away. She was 6 years old. I’m devastated, heartbroken, and feel like there’s a giant gaping hole in my heart. I’m confused, shocked. She was in the prime of her life and wasn’t showing any signs of illness. She was playing, eating, using her litter box like normal moments before.

Immediately I rushed her to Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care in Las Vegas on Tropicana and Durango, where the team immediately started CPR as soon as I walked in. They gave her injections to try and restart her heart, but it was too late.

I’m immensely grateful for the doctors, nurses, and staff at VECC. They did all they could as fast as they could. I just wish it had a better outcome.

Unfortunately, the full bill was due at the time of care, and I am critically unemployed right now, and had plans to return home to my family soon because of it. I told them I was unable to pay it, and they told me they can hold Diana for 3 days, but she cannot be released to me until the bill is settled in full.

The entire emergency vet bill in total is $757, which includes the ER exam fee, emergency CPR, atrophine sulfate injection, epinephrine injection, and IV catheter placement.

This amount must be paid immediately so that I can bring Diana to the pet cremation center, and finally—bring her home.

A dear friend has already graciously donated $100 to me privately, which leaves me $657 remaining.

I can just barely cover the price of the cremation, but I find myself turning to the community for help. Please help me bring Diana home.
