Corryong College Playground Fundraiser

Rising from the Ashes - Gofundme plea for school playground. 100% of funds raised go towards the F-4 Corryong College playground. In the fire-ravaged region of Victoria’s Upper Murray, the youngest students at Corryong College have no playground. It’s not their fault their new school building project fell short of funds – just as it isn’t their fault a #bushfire that has decimated 300,000ha and continues to burn, stole some of their homes, left their families without livelihoods and them, with memories children shouldn’t have. #Corryong is a tiny, remote town near the headwaters of the Murray River. Its location makes any building project expensive, logistically difficult and cost blow-outs are often unavoidable. In normal times, the community would shrug its shoulders and rally together; hold fundraisers, empty biscuit tins and dig deep to give these children the playground they need. These are not normal times. Research tells us that play is the best way to heal our children.
