Cory Kraft

As many of you may have already heard, our son Cory Kraft fell off of a roof on November 22 while working. Immediately after the fall he drove himself home, not realizing the full extent of his injuries. When he was finally able to get out of his truck he lost consciousness in his yard, a neighbor saw him and called 911. He was taken by ambulance first to Wake Med North then transferred immediately to Wake Med. He was then rushed into emergency surgery for internal bleeding. Cory ruptured his spleen (which they removed), has 6 broken ribs, he received 2.5 pints of blood; now there are concerns about his pancreas so he’ll be facing that challenge tomorrow. There are no timelines for recovery or therapy being mentioned by doctors, it’s day by day. As you may know Cory is self employed, there’s no insurance to cover or help with living expenses for several months. I hate to ask for help, as I know Cory would never ask himself, but we can only help but so much. This is such a difficult and painful process for Cory, we just hope to ease some of the stress & burdens he’s feeling with all of the uncertainty.
