Hi. I'm Cory. I am raising funds to combat the homelessness I've been experiencing in the super heat of the exhausting South Florida sun. For almost five months, I've been living out of my car with a broken air conditioner, in other words, no cold air. I have been working gigs when offered to get by, but it's not enough to support myself even though I am diagnosed with schizophrenia and am advised not to work. Often, I find myself trying to work in high temperatures while trying to fight the heavy sedatives prescribed to supposedly help. I have no household support system to lean on, hence this fundraiser.
Specifically, it would be a miracle if I could get up to date on my car payment balance as it's my shelter and fix the air conditioner. Also, I need to insure it to be on the road without issue. Any remaining funds I would use toward an actual apartment or RV apartment down payment and first month's rent to get shelter from the sun that might cause heat exhaustion. I know should I secure my vehicle and have air conditioning, I could do a lot more for myself as I remind myself that I really have no family or friends close to help me financially. Or if you are one and I didn't realize, please help me out and donate.
I am experienced in various fields of work even though I am dealing with a mental health diagnosis. I just need a helping hand to be self-sufficient again. Thank you.
