Costa Rica Community Projects Trip

Hi, my name is Dylan & I am 14 years old.

 

I have been given the amazing opportunity to embark on a 4 week trip to Costa Rica in a joint expedition with my High School & Camps International in 2023.

 

I get to experience living in the heart of the rainforest, where monkeys and toucans will be my closest neighbours.

Working alongside local people, I will be able to learn about innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues and get involved in inspiring projects to support the environment, wildlife and community. This could include building communal structures for community events or other important facilities to be used by locals.

 

To top it all off, I will have the chance to undertake my PADI Open Water Dive Qualification, learning to scuba dive in warm tropical waters, surrounded by exotic fish and the occasional turtle.

 

It is a once in a lifetime trip that will enable me to develop new skills & understand the impact that humans have on the environment with like minded students from all over the world.

 

I plan on fundraising & doing any tasks or jobs for friends & family that I can to help fund as much of the trip that as possible on my own but any help will be truly appreciated.
