Costs associated with colon surgery

Hi, my name is Keith. I am the father of two girls and have a passion for working on cars. Some of you may know me from the VW community. Recently I have been having some health issues and found out there is a mass in my sigmoid colon. The initial biopsy was inconclusive and I am now in need of surgery to remove it and see if the mass is cancerous. The colon resection that I will have to undergo will require me to be in the hospital a several days and out of work a several weeks. Unfortunately I do not get sick pay while I am out and have some high insurance deductibles to be met. As you could imagine I was not expecting or prepared for any of this. Any money collected during this go fund me will be directly used to help with co-pays related to the surgery, subsequent doctor visits and cat scans and will also help with lost wages while out of work recovering.
