Help Cotswold Riding Relocate
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my mum Pat and her riding stables, established in our local area for 30+ years.
Cotswold Riding is home to 32 rescued, retired and working horses and ponies. For the past 18 years we’ve been tenants on a farm in Gloucestershire, dedicated to serving the local community. Sadly, we received news before Christmas that the farm has been sold and we have 6 months notice to leave and relocate. Pat has been operating on a reduced income due to the pandemic and is unable to finance the move at such short notice. Naturally we’re all very worried about what that will mean for the horses and ponies. The business is a labour of love for Pat and she's made many personal sacrifices over the years in order to keep it running.
Although we’d love to be able to purchase an existing farm, the funds needed to do this in the area seem out of reach at around £1m. We have however been offered land to lease which will need a lot of work to house the horses and continue to operate as a riding stables. Stable blocks, an arena to exercise the horses and metres of fencing to enclose paddocks will all need to be installed. We need to raise a minimum of £10,000 towards this project.
My mum has dedicated her life to rescuing many horses and ponies, teaching generations of riders and supporting those in need. We have an amazing team who’ve worked tirelessly through the pandemic to keep the stables running. We have a large community of young and mature riders who depend on the mental, social and physical health benefits offered at the stables. We’d like to continue supporting the Chipping Norton RDA group who rely on using our facilities on a weekly basis and have done for over 30 years.
Your support means the world to us at this difficult time and we are so grateful for any help you can offer. Funds will be paid out directly to Pat and used solely towards the relocation of the horses and ponies. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
