Kim, who helps everyone, needs our help

Kimberley (Wills) Olson was born and raised in the middle of nowhere in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She was an adventurous spirit from the beginning, and in 1999 she ventured out of Texas and went to college at Cottey, in Nevada, Missouri, where we met.
The funniest and friendliest of our group of college girls, Kim's smile has always been contagious. She made MAGICAL peanut butter cookies and took care of all of our group with that smile.
In the years after college Kim returned home and married Ryan in 2004, and they moved to Rosebud, TX, to be close to Ryan's family and work the ranch in 2011. Both Ryan and Kim are teachers in Bremond, TX, and Ryan runs a bus route to help the family out. Ryan and Kim have four children, Kendal-20, Rhett-15, Hattie-11, and Luke-9.
As if living life, trying to work on a ranch, having full-time jobs and part-time jobs, and raising four kids in a pandemic weren't enough, the Olsen family has been hit hard this year.
In January, Kim went to her doctor for what she thought was a thyroid check. In the following weeks, she would find out that she had a breast cancer diagnosis, invasive ductile carcinoma, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy having multiple tumors removed. On February 7th she had issues with a hematoma and surgical site infection. She was hospitalized from 2/27-3/2 for infection monitoring.
While Kim hasn't been to church since surgery, their family is active at Robertson County Cowboy Church. She and Ryan teach classes in the summer and they're on the safety team.
Now, Kim and Ryan, who help so many, need a little help from us. With Kim having to be out of work, and Ryan needing to take time off to take her to appointments, costs add up. In Texas, traveling to healthcare is its own cost, and it's an hour one way to the hospital where she receives treatment. Any amount helps and takes some of the burdens off their family.
Next steps for Kim, involve healing from the current infection, and healing the incisions. She's had to have them reopened multiple times to assist in healing. All she can do right now, is work to heal!
They will have to make big cancer treatment decisions in the next few weeks, and if we can lighten the load, I would hope we all would. There is a long road ahead...lets walk this road with her and her family.
