COURIR POUR NOAH 2022

Il y a quelques années, Marc-Antoine, mon amoureux (papa de Noah) et moi avons commencé à amasser des fonds au nom de la « différence » dans le cadre d’événements de course que nous avons associé au thème #courirpournoah. Cette année, nous poursuivrons dans la même direction avec des participations à plusieurs courses. La première sera un défi créé de toute pièce en collaboration avec HOLOS https://www.liveholos.com/ - Pour les 6 ans de Noah, Marc-Antoine courra les 600 km qui séparent New York de Bromont. Il partira de la Grosse pomme, le lundi 21 mars, journée mondiale de la trisomie 21.  Ceux qui veulent contribuer, peuvent le faire ici. 

Le premier C$5,000 sera octroyée à Noah. Élever un enfant avec des besoins particuliers implique des ressources importantes qui sont souvent sous-estimées et méconnues. Ces sous contribueront aux besoins de service d’orthophonie, d’aide à domicile et à payer son inscription à un camp estival pour enfants à besoins particuliers. Enfin, cela nous aidera à poursuivre la réalisation de projets pour que notre Noah continue d'être intégré et qu’un plus grand nombre de personnes s’ouvrent à la différence.

Le restant des fonds amassés (C$25,000 et plus) ira à l’organisme L'appart à moi https://lappartamoi.com qui a comme mission principale de lutter contre la pauvreté et la vulnérabilité de personnes ayant une trisomie 21 ou une autre forme de déficience intellectuelle—en offrant en location des logements abordables et sécuritaires à des jeunes adultes vivant avec une déficience intellectuelle.

A few years ago, Marc-Antoine, my lover (Noah's dad) and I started raising funds in the name of "difference" through running events that we associated with the theme #runfornoah. These funds will contribute to the needs of speech therapy services, home help and to pay for registration for a summer camp for children with special needs. Finally, it will help us to continue the realization of projects so that our Noah continues to be integrated and that a greater number of people are open to difference.

The rest of the funds raised (C$25,000 and more) will go to the organization L'appart à moi https://lappartamoi.com - whose main mission is to fight against the poverty and vulnerability of people with Down's syndrome or another. form of intellectual disability—by providing affordable and safe rental housing for young adults living with an intellectual disability.
