Hello my name is Noah Ruiz.

I am transgender on July 3rd around 9:40 pm I was exiting the lake of cross campground to use the bathroom I was told to use by the owner of the establishment. As I was trying to use the bathroom a women came in and yelled who was occupying the restroom I stated I was and my girlfriend stated she was. In doing so the lady didn’t like that a man was in the females restroom I tried to inform her I am transgender and the owner told me to use this restroom so I was respecting the wishes of the owner. During this 3 grown men slammed into the bathroom shoving and yelling slurs at me, I then tried to explain again I am transgender and I was born a female with female parts so I was told to use this bathroom, they did not want to allow me to explain myself and continued to shove me against the wall and jump me, bringing in a crowd of over 80 + people joining in on the incident and yelling slurs, punching me in the back of the head, choking me out and shoving the family and friends I had with me, i tried to defend myself and ended up going to jail for the situation but no one else was charged, I was jumped and beaten and called a F*G. For using the bathroom I was TOLD to use.

I have been going to this campground for 7 years prior to this incident, the owner is friends with my family and parents. It is private property and for safety he asked I use the females. He knew me before I transitioned so he thought I’d be safer in there. 

I’m asking for any help or donations to get my story heard and charges pressed on those involved.

trans people are people and we do not deserve the hate and pain we still get today.
