Courtney & Ben Rohleder need our help

Donation protected
On Thursday evening, 13th July Ben made the trip home from Brisbane from a work event, only he never made it home. At approximately midnight his car ran off Clothiers Creek road about 2km from home. It wasn’t until a few hours later a person (we are calling them an angel) drove down the same road and noticed the car. Emergency services were notified and a helicopter was used to find and get Ben quickly to the hospital. It was there that the battle truly began.

Emergency services had a battle of their own too with the road then being closed for the next 10 hours and a community concerned for what had happened to someone so close to home.

Ben was rushed into surgery on arrival for a brain injury, multiple punctured organs, and a shattered pelvis, it was a miracle he was alive. Emergency services said this too. But our Ben is a fighter, fit and healthy and has far too much to live for.

His wife Courtney who received that dreaded knock at the door (no one ever wants to receive) in the middle of the night has been by his side (7 months pregnant) since, whilst family and friends are supporting their two young children at home.

We are lucky in our community that when someone is in trouble we all come running to help. Ben & Courtney would give you their own shirts off their back if you needed it and we saw that first hand in the recent Caba floods with Court at home making food packs for people and Ben out there helping people with the mess and the delivery of food.

We want to help this beautiful local Cabarita family by raising some much needed funds to help them through what will be a very challenging and rigorous rehabilitation with their newborn baby due very soon.

Both Mum and Dad will be unable to work for some time and the financial burden of the accident, a growing family and today's current financial climate is a lot to handle when we want this family’s focus to be on Ben and their newborn baby bubble. No donation amount is too small to help this family but if you are in a position to dig deep, please do. If you’re not in a position to donate, please send your well wishes and prayers their way, they will need every bit of your good vibes and energy. Let's help this treasured family get back to where they need to be.
