Courtney Kidd Annual Scholarship Fund

Our daughter Courtney Lynn Kidd inspired everyone who knew her with her Incredible Courage and Faith! She was a Kind and Generous Person with the Most Beautiful Soul. ❤
Courtney was born with five Complex Congenital Heart Defects. In her short lifetime, she underwent seven heart surgeries at the ages of newborn, 2 years old, 6 years old, 12 years old, 21 years old, 31 years old and 32 years old, a traumatic brain bleed due to a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 12, and a Heart and Liver Transplant at the age of 32. She ultimately passed away on her 38th Birthday at Mayo Clinic after an eight-month battle with liver cancer, and just five years after her transplant.
Despite all her setbacks, she was determined to go to college. Courtney earned a degree in Early Childhood at ONU and held a Foster license, which she took great pride in. She loved children.
Our family would like to honor her Amazing Life and keep her Memory alive by establishing an Annual Scholarship Fund in her name. Courtney's Scholarship will benefit a student each year at the Kankakee Area Career Center who plans to seek a college degree in Early Childhood.
