Courtney Lynn Moore
August 27, 1982 – September 18,2023

Courtney Lynn Moore, wife and mother, age 41, passed away September 18th, 2023 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Courtney was born on August 27, 1982 to Dottie and Mike Goudie in Washington, DC. At birth, she was diagnosed with a complex congenital heart disease (Shone’s Complex) which she fought her entire life. Courtney never allowed this disease to define her or prevent her from accomplishing everything she set out to do in life along with her family and friends. She was a true HEART WARRIOR!

Courtney married William Clint Moore, her second grade crush, in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 25th, 2008. Courtney and Clint have one child, John Wyatt Moore who was born on July 19th, 2011.

Courtney graduated in 2000 from Westlake High School in Waldorf, MD. After high school, she began her career at Dr. Heffner & Aguto Pediatric Dentistry before she studied and graduated from Graham Webb Academy of Hair. After a few years, she decided to change careers and pursued an opportunity with Booz Allen Hamilton supporting the federal government. As the Design Operations Officer Lead, she managed the preparation and publication of briefings for operational intelligence executives and senior government officials. She worked there for over five years and absolutely loved that job and the entire Booz Allen Hamilton family.

Courtney is survived by the love of her life, William Clint Moore, who loved her from the moment he met her in second grade and their amazingly brilliant, creative, authentic and genuine son John Wyatt Moore. She is also survived by her mother, Dottie Goudie; father, Mike Goudie, and sisters Christy Watson (Jeff and Connor) and Kelsey Goudie (Justin), Brandon Welch, grandmothers Kathleen Rick, Barbara Goudie and Sarah Callahan and grandfather John Callahan. As well as mother in law Barbi Moore (Terry Moore – deceased), brothers in law Rob Moore (Jessica, Terry, Taylor & Maddox), Sam Moore (Mikelle, Rhyn & Tycho), Justin (deceased), sister in law Kendra Moore (Carter & Phoenix), niece Alexis Sole (Kayla). Additionally, many aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved and cherished beyond measure. Courtney also leaves behind her very best friends, Amber Kerig and Tracey Matthews.
