Courtney & TeMeka IVF Journey

Hi, my name is Courtney. My wife & I are wanting to expand our family and IVF (In vitro fertilization) is our next step. I’ve always wanted to be a mom but early in life I knew something was wrong. I would have heavy cycles, years without a cycle, painful cycles, etc. In 2007 I was blessed to adopt a beautiful baby girl who is now 15 yrs old and I’m thankful everyday for this blessing. I’m more than grateful to have someone to call me mom but I also want to experience pregnancy and carry a healthy baby full term. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2018 I had an ovarian cyst to grow the size of a baseball into my right Fallopian tube and caused it to rupture. I’ve had a total of 5 surgeries to remove ovarian cysts from my ovaries and now that I’m 42 yrs old I want this more than ever because I’ve overcome a lot. My wife and I began our fertility journey November 2022 and we’ve had a total of 6 IUI’s (Intrauterine Insemination) which unfortunately, were all unsuccessful. This journey has cause weight gain, emotional detachment, and many crying moments but through all of that, we’re not ready to give up. Sharing my infertility with others have been the hardest decision because so many doesn’t understand the emotions that comes with this medical condition that so many women are battling. My pride almost stopped me from creating this GoFundMe but a close friend of mind said let’s do it, it’s worth a try. We’re over 30k into our journey but we know the end will be worth it Al.
