Courtney Jaroski's Medical Expenses

From Courtney's mother on May 25:

"I wanted to keep y'all updated on Courtney's progress after her fall on Saturday. She has broken 2 vertebrae in her neck, C2 and C3. The break on C3 is not bad, they are not concerned about that one at all. The break on C2 is a bad break. Still, though, Praise God Above, she does not have to have surgery, so far anyway. They expect the bone to heal fine but it will be tedious for Courtney as she will be in a neck brace for the next 12 weeks. The fall happened on Saturday as we were preparing for her sister-in-law's wedding. We were having the wedding on our property in the Rebecca Creek area of Comal County. The upper Rebecca Creek runs through our property and when we have heavy rain, the water rises and you can not reach our property. There is another crossing down the other way on our road that usually isn't as bad and we could get through there in an emergency. But, this rain was historic and there was no passing either direction. Courtney knew immediately that she broke her neck so she supported her chin with her hands. I called 911 and told dispatch that we were trapped by water, that my daughter had broken her neck and we needed a chopper right away. In my heart I knew that was probably not going to happen and of course no choppers were available, nor could they fly in the weather we were having. So Courtney sat in the pasture holding her head. We got towels and blankets and tried to keep her warm. Tarps and umbrellas, trying to keep the rain out. After about an hour and half, God sent at angel. Somehow I had forgotten that our neighbor Chris Williams is and EMT. She and her husband just so happened to walk to the creek to see how bad it was when she saw an emergency vehicle on the other side of the flooded creek. She knew something had happened on our property. So she and her husband got through our gate and headed our way in the pasture. She took control and the situation and literally saved Courtney's life. She knew what to do and told us what to do. The fall was about 5:00pm and the water didn't recede enough to get her off the property and into an ambulance until 2:30am. There are soooo many miracles, so amazing to watch God's hand in all this. He is amazing! Please pray for Courtney and her continued healing."

The above  was written by Courtney's mother and gives details of her injury.

Today, after scans, X-rays, MRI's,  four nights in the hospital, etc... Courtney's bills have exceeded $25,000.  We are asking if you could give $5, $10, $50, to help Courtney pay off her injury debt.  Anything, whatever you can give will help tremendously.

I know with so many scams out there you may be questioning this post. I can personally attest to Courtney character and integrity.  I have known Courtney since before she was born.  I was there the day she was born. I watched her toddle, walk, run, dance, draw, paint, graduate and get married; she is like a daughter to me. You will not find another person more genuine, kind, gentle or sincere as this beautiful  girl. Your financial gift, I assure you, will bless and help a wonderful person and wonderful family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering a gift :)

Respectfully,
