Help Support Mommy and Daughter Duo

Hi, my name is Courtney and I'm here on behalf of myself and my adorable, now four-year-old daughter Riley. That's us in the picture up above. She is my world!! I have been out of work since February because I have a condition called Chiari malformation type 1. My symptoms were too severe and started to affect all of my daily life activities so I have been unable to work for several months, and will continue to be off for several more.  I had part of my skull removed as well as my C1 vertebrae in order to allow my CSF to properly flow. It’s been a struggle but I have to do what is necessary for my daughter. In January, my daughter was involved in a DUI incident. She was in the back seat while the driver was intoxicated and on unprescribed medication, completely endangering her life. My lawyer advised me I cannot release any other information about the case. You can always message me privately with questions. I still have  thousands of dollars I owe in lawyer fees and that amount will only continue to increase because there’s no end in sight. I've been told, for divorces that include a child, property and custody, I am potentially looking at 20K-30K at least, but I’m hoping it’s nowhere near that! I need help paying every day bills, I’ve been off work-unpaid…. I do not have the safety net of credit cards or parents with money. My father has passed away and my mother is barely getting by herself living all the way in Ohio. My network of friends is only so big, so I know I'm going to be relying a lot on the kindness of strangers. For those of you who know me, you know this is the hardest thing I've had to do and it took every ounce of strength to shed my ego and create this GoFundMe campaign and ask people to help Riley and I financially. But I literally have nowhere else to turn right now. The money will predominantly be going to my lawyer and household bills.
