Cover Cancer Expenses for the Janes Family
Donation protected
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I can hardly bear that there is such a thing.
My niece Ila Janes was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in August of last year. Since then, she has had three surgeries, two radioactive iodine treatments, two full body scans, a CT scan, and dozens upon dozens of doctor appointments and blood draws.
It's just impossible to plan for medical expenses on that scale. And the stress of guiding your child through cancer treatment is more than enough without the added stress of mounting medical bills.
We can't take away the emotional toll of childhood cancer, but we can help the Janes family shoulder the financial burden.
My baseline goal for this fundraiser is to cover most of the Janes family's medical expenses from these past two incredibly difficult years. However, I would love to raise enough money to cover all those expenses and set the family up to have a headstart on whatever is to come next year.
Many thanks to everyone who has walked with the Janes family along this hard road and to all who give, in any amount.
