Cover cost for Chels's top surgery

Hey friends, this is Chels!

I'm very lucky to be having top surgery on November 1st. It's been a long process to secure the surgery date, and it's finally almost here. I've had a lifelong struggle with my gender identity, and often have difficulty with gender dysphoria. This surgery is another step in rectifying the divide between who I am on the inside and how I present on the outside. Bridging this gap has become more and more urgent as I've gotten older.

Up until about a month go, my surgery was going to be covered by my insurance, at no cost to me. Unfortunately, I was required to change my policy and now my partner and I will be facing medical costs that we were not able to properly prepare or save for. We are a low-income family, so we're hoping we might be able to raise some funds to help us.
