Cover Ginger the rescued cat’s vet bills

Hi everyone, My name is Scarlett.
A fortnight ago, a lady posted on Next Door drawing our attention to a cat that was in a terrible condition, behind the Nando’s on Stroud Green Road.
After a couple of failed attempts to rescue it and a hostile man claiming to be the owner refusing to hand Ginger over, he was finally rescued by a lady called Kat from a small charity called Cole and Friends. Kat talked the owner round to acknowledging that he really needs help and Ginger was rescued at 1pm on 13th August, by 3pm Kat had him in the vets.
The update is that 6 year old Ginger is suffering clear signs of liver damage from a poor diet, lack of water and the water that he has been licking from the surfaces has been contaminated with oil from where he’s been living where mechanics work.
Ginger’s eyes and tongue are yellow, he has a high white cells count and a fever. It is clear he has been in a lot of pain for a long time. He has been put on antibiotics and obviously he’s now drinking clear water so we are really praying for an improvement.
Obviously it costs money to get treatment, especially when it’s an animal without insurance which he doesn’t have. He hasn’t been neutered, hasn’t had worming or flea treatment and his FIV status isn’t clear, he has been completely neglected.
He has so far had blood tests and antibiotics, and Cole and Friends have taken Ginger in- and other cats in need, so I thought I would set up a Go Fund Me should anyone like to contribute to this amazing charity.
You can also follow the Cole and Friends Facebook page and Instagram page, they will be posting updates on Ginger in the coming few days and are very responsive to messages.
I will also update this page.
Thank you,
Scarlett
