Help Rick cover hospital bills after heart attack.

Community is not only a gathering in times of plenty or a group celebrating moments of jubilation. I would argue that it is best defined in seasons of hardship and how it responds.

As many of your know, our very own Rick Neuman recently suffered a heart attack during a family trip to Florida, a time meant for relaxing and making memories with precious ones.

(Even hospital food apparently tastes great after not eating for awhile.)

We are overjoyed that Rick has pulled through and is already back promoting the local businesses of Washington County.

There are two kinds of people, some always on the giving end and others, well, we won’t go there. We know that Rick has supported numerous fundraising efforts and has promoted the vast majority of businesses in our area, bringing the community together time and time again. Rick would never ask for help, not because he doesn’t need it during this time, but because the receiving end is foreign to him.

As the hospital bills have started to come in and are now in the six-digit range, we know that stress is also growing exponentially, something anyone with a heart condition should avoid.

The Neumans, a family of 9, are staring at a deductible of $18,000, co-pays, and what looks like expensive medications for life.

It would be a tremendous blessing if the community would rally around the Neumans and at least take care of their deductible, not only providing substantial financial support but also demonstrating love and genuine concern for the family.

Washington County, let’s do what we do best and come together as a community for one of our finest, Rick Neuman.
