Cover Medical, Rehab and Transportation cost for Thomaskutty

Mr. Thomaskutty Itty Kochitty recently arrived in Australia on a Visitor Visa to be with his daughter Mrs Sweety and 2 grand children to help them out. Unfortunately, Mr Thomaskutty Itty Kochitty met with an accident 2 months ago, resulting in a cervical spine injury.

He underwent emergency surgery at Royal Adelaide Hospital and was admitted for a month in their ICU before being transferred to the ward where he remains. He is paralysed below the neck (quadriplegic) due to the injury and needs help with all activities of daily living in addition to 24/7 care. His insurance will cover 1 month of ICU stay and nothing else.

Due to the huge cost involved with the ongoing prolonged rehabilitation - approximately 6 months , the family would like to move him back to India for further treatment. This fundraising is to meet his expenses for inpatient stay for 45-60 days at approx $2400 / day that is not covered by insurance, and also to cover his repatriation cost which is quoted at $40,000 along with expenses to cover the 6 months of rehabilitation.
