Cover some feed costs for my stock horse stud

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Phil Attard from Attard stock horses. We are situated at lower Acacia Creek on the New South Wales, Queensland border. We have been breeding and training horses for over 50 years and for the first time, we are at risk of loosing livestock due to the extremely dry conditions.
The horses are bred for a variety of disciplines and are used to muster and work cattle as well as for various equine sports. There is constant financial strain that comes with drought from high cost of feed to water shortages which we are experiencing the effect of both. It has been 3 years since we had consistent rainfall and this year we have had only 320mm of rain in total when the average is usually around 900mm.
At present we are spending $2000 a week on feed which is simply unsustainable and without being able to accurately predict when it will rain, we don’t know how long we will continue to feed our livestock.
Your donations will significantly help with paying for hay and grain to keep our horses in a healthy condition, in particular our mares and foals who require more nutrition. Most of our dams are also now dry so we are transporting in water which is another financial outgoing.
Anybody is welcome to come out and see what your donation is being used for.
