Cover the cost to repair my car

Hi, I’m Jess. I’m not very used to asking for help, but lately things have just not been the greatest for me. It all started when my car started to leak oil. I wasn’t able to have the issue fixed immediately, because I had to work 6 consecutive days and figured I’d need the money anyway to repair my car. On my day off, the auto repair shop that I visited told me that I’d have to wait a few more days for them to order the parts needed to fix my car, and that it was still safe for me to keep using my car in the meantime. The problem was that it actually wasn’t, because the very next day, my car ended up breaking down. I held onto hope that the repair would be quick and relatively affordable, but it turns out that my car wasn’t just leaking oil; its transmission was actually fried too. The repair man told me it would cost around $10k to order a new transmission and fix the leak. So, here I am, asking for help because I currently cannot afford to cover the cost to repair my car. I work a minimum wage job, which at the moment, I can’t even attend, because I live a 35-40 minute drive away. Taking public transit or an Uber/Lyft would cost me more than it’s worth, so until I can figure out a carpool or find another ride, I’m unable to work to pay for my car’s repair.
