Cover the costs of Talmage Trujillo's appeal

My name is Riley Selleck. I represent Talmage in Chaffee County case 21M347. Last November, Talmage was convicted at trial of the misdemeanor counts of Harboring a Minor and Obstructing a Peace Officer. I won't use this space to tell the whole story of the case, because if you're here, you're probably familiar with it -- suffice it to say that Talmage, who was then the principal of Salida High School, was helping a child in need and ran afoul of local police.
Talmage has chosen to appeal his conviction, at my urging. I believe that there are legal issues that should be reviewed by a higher court, and which may go Talmage's way.
For a misdemeanor case, there was a fairly large amount of litigation, and a 4-day jury trial. This means that the costs of preparing the transcripts of those proceedings and the other items needed on appeal is quite high, estimated to be in excess of $4,000.
I am requesting help on Talmage's behalf to foot the costs of preparing the record on appeal. Please note that this is not a request to cover any of my fees, as I am not charging Talmage (or anyone else) a fee.
I appreciate your help.
