Covered Bike Rack Eagle Project

My name is Nate Wilson,

I am a senior at Lakeside High School in Atlanta GA.

For my Eagle project, I'm building a covered bike rack because students don't have a safe place to store bikes.

This bike rack will give students and teachers a safe, dry location to park their bikes during the school day.

Plus, providing an alternative to driving cars should help alleviate the maxed-out parking lot, while reducing carbon emissions.

Full disclosure, Lakeside does have a bike rack. However, nobody uses it because it's rusty, uncovered, and worryingly close to the main road. The people who insist on riding bikes simply lock them to trees behind the school. My bike rack will be located behind the school where users can have confidence that their bike is safe.
