Help Us Build a Home Run Haven for Leander High School Baseball! ⚾
We're stepping up to the plate with an exciting opportunity to elevate our baseball program to new heights, and we need your support! Our players have shown incredible dedication, talent, and passion on the field, and now it's time to provide them with the facilities they deserve.
Our goal is to construct a state-of-the-art covered practice facility that will serve as the heartbeat of our baseball program. This facility will not only shield our athletes from the elements but also create an environment for year-round training, fostering skill development, teamwork, and a sense of community.
Although the baseball season doesn't "officially" start until February each year, players are throwing and hitting on their own November, December and January.
We have the perfect spot AND vision to make this a reality. All we need is you!

IMAGINE hitting a COLD METAL BAT outside in 47 degree weather with the WIND gusting on a wet day between 5 PM and 6 PM because the only time dad can throw BP is after work before it gets dark (there are no lights on the open air cages).
Then IMAGINE hitting a COLD METAL BAT in the same scenario as above, BUT the North and West side of the cages are walled off. It starts to RAIN but that is OK too because the cages have a roof to shelter as well as lights for the evening. You ate DINNER with your family and dad is throwing you BP at 7PM.
IMAGINE it is FEBRUARY, the tourney season starts on Thursday, but it is raining Monday and Tuesday so how do your batters get a chance to practice because there is no covered area to practice.
Then IMAGINE it is AUGUST it hasn't RAINED in 45 days and it is 105 in the blaring Sun. School is starting soon and you need some practice reps because you are going to college baseball showcase camps this fall.. You want to play college baseball, but it is so .... HOT and nothing to shade the Sun.
BOTTOM LINE: We need YOUR HELP to raise funds for this building. MOST of the area high schools from 2A to 6A have facilities like this for their kids. It is time Leander High School gets a sheltered place to practice baseball.
BOOSTER CLUB FUNDED ONLY: LISD does not provide any bond money or Athletic money for these types of projects to any of their schools. This is solely funded by what LHS Baseball Booster Club can raise through fundraising efforts.
PRIOR to this GOFUNDME campaign, LHS baseball has raised over $25,000 toward this goal.
Please help us reach our goal to build this project!
- Leander High School is the oldest high school in Leander ISD.
- All donations will go towards the building project.
- Building an updated practice facility will offer the current and future players within the Leander Lions program a safe and covered practice facility that will be accessible for current LHS players year-round, regardless of weather.
- Any donation will help make an impact.
- This fundraiser is an extension of the LHS Baseball Craft Market Fundraiser which occurs every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Thanks in advance for contributing to this cause that means so much to the future of our Leander High School Baseball Program.
