Covering Chemotherapy Cost for Eric Abate.

Eric and Sheena Abate originally from Rhode Island and Pennsylvania, made Norfolk their home about 11 years ago. Since being here they got married in May of 2014 they have two children Daisy 7 and Elias 3. Eric is employed at Continental where he has worked for the last 9 years. Sheena is returning to Child Care at Northern Hills where she was previously employed for 7 years and took a small break to work for Universal background checking. Eric served in the Army for 2 years while in Rhode island 6 months in Kuwait and the remainder of the time in Fort Benning. Together as a family they share a love for all things Disney, they enjoy traveling, they are big into holidays from 4th of July celebrations to big Thanksgiving dinners and going all out for Christmas, they love to be with family. Over the last couple years Eric has undergone back surgery, gallbladder removal and some other procedures. He was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of bile duct cancer that started in his gallbladder and spread to his bile duct and then to his liver. After weeks of waiting Eric is finally able to start chemotherapy on Monday November 7th, in hopes to shrink the cancer and give Eric some more time with his children and wife and the opportunity to continue to watch them grow and make new memories. I am reaching out to the community to help support Sheena and Eric in this difficult time, to help cover the cost of medical bills and just daily life in general.
