**UPDATE**   Just over 24 hours ago, fire ravaged the block of stores between Marshall Avenue and Beverly Avenue yesterday morning. All businesses were affected by fire, smoke and water. Our Floral Park residents and the loving communities surrounding us immediately showed an outpouring of support. The goal of this fundraiser was to provide financial support to the affected merchants. The Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce has now launched a fundraising campaign with the same goal. To remain focused on the needs of these businesses, funds from the Covert Avenue Strong campaign will be merged in to the Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce campaign. The Chamber will then provide the monies directly to the business owners.

Community is about supporting eachother and working together toward the same mission. During such a tragic time, during a time when peoples' resolve is being put to the test over and over, local communities come through. We all want to help in some way, either big or small and do what we can for eachother. Please continue to follow the Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce on social media. Please continue to share their fundraising campaign at https://gf.me/u/y2wtv8 Please continue to show your support for all the merchants on Covert Avenue as they, too, will be impacted by this tragedy in the long run.

On September 27th, the lives of local businesses owners on Covert Avenue in Floral Park changed.  Fire devastated multiple businesses in a small shopping center.  Our communities always come together in a crisis, and we must come together now, as we know how.  This fund is in partnership with surrounding communities.  Monies raised will be distributed to the businesses directly affected by the fire. This fundraiser is in partnership with a community leader in New Hyde Park and the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce.
