Covid 19 safety kit for students

When school returns in the fall, I’m very concerned about student safety. I would like to provide students with a backpack filled with disposable gloves, disposable masks, hand sanitizer,  and reusable masks. The school I teach at, Morton East High School in Cicero, IL, has many students who are struggling economically. One thing they don’t need is a struggle with their health. By providing this kit it may help some students stay healthy. For $10,000 I can provide about 120 backpacks with COVID-19 safety measures. School should restart in the fall. I am planning to have these ready to hand out the week before school starts. Our school should start mid August. I know it is a short timeframe, but I believe it’s important. Anyone who knows our kids knows how special they are. Our students are some of the kindest most caring people you’ll ever meet. Being able to help even a few of them stay healthy would be a small miracle. There are approximately 3400 students at my school. Not all are economically disadvantaged, but for the ones that are, this could help them out a great deal.
