Hi, my name is Steve, and this is my friend Nicola Vaughan, a Toronto singer/musician whom I've known many years. You may have heard her sing; if so, you will know the joy she brings to her audiences. Nicola lost her income due to Covid and the lockdowns, and could use some help with rent and living expenses.
Nicola came down with an illness in August 2019 and was unable to work until end of February 2020; then the pandemic hit us all. She applied for Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) after being told she qualified for it; but since she missed those months of work, was then informed she did not qualify, and had to repay those funds just before Christmas. She also has upcoming dental expenses (and has no dental coverage), and she tells me her bed is a saggy old cot, that is starting to cause back pain. So, any help will be very much appreciated.
