More information about Project Amazonas, Inc: Project Amazonas (PA) takes critical medical care to isolated river communities in the Peruvian Amazon. Iquitos, Peru has been hit particularly hard with the pandemic due to the shortage of PPE and funding. It has been reported that 80% of health workers have been infected. Additionally, the cost for PPE and medication has also been selling for about 10x its usual amount. Project Amazonas is collecting donations to send PPE, medications, and oxygen tanks to Iquitos in these crucial times.
