Covid Relieve for Family infected in Mexico

Donation protected

Hello everybody my name is Sofia Morales. I live in Maryland but I was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico where all my family lives. It took me a lot of thinking and humbling to be here; because I am feeling bad for asking for strangers to help completely strangers, yet I am hoping and putting my faith on the kindness of their hearts. However pride nor shame isn’t important here but my family’s and everybody’s wellbeing.

2020 has been a very hard year for my family. On December 19th 2019 after struggling for months in house care, endless in and out of the hospital visits my father loss his battle  with kidney failure and passed away. 2019 was definitely a struggling year, not only physically but emotionally and financially for my family.
As we all know 2020 has been anything but an easy year; with this world pandemic millions of
people has been destitute, ill or passed away. The Mexican government has not been doing the things it should’ve done from the beginning to ensure the wellbeing of their citizens. Unfortunately in Mexico there is no such thing as Unemployment aid or any of the such, the Covid tests aren’t free and cost the equivalent of 200 dollars; which has made the situation in Mexico a very precarious one. If you don’t work you don’t eat as simple as that. But how can you work when you’re ill?.

My mother, grandmother, brother (with asthma), two uncles and an aunt are all infected. Which has forced the entire family to shut down and quarantine (about 13 adults and 3 children). Living in a check to check cycle and without help of the government it’s making it impossible for them to continue to fight. I have been stretching myself to the best of my abilities and sent much needed help, but it’s coming to a point where there isn’t any more to give.

Since they’ve been forced to stop working and almost running out of money and so indebted, I made some calculations and this is the amount they’ll need to make it for a month. Below I will list the prices and frequency in which they need each item. I obviously will continue to do my part and work hard to aid and provide.

Should anybody decide to help monetarily you should know I will update this with receipts and whatever is needed to continue to show affidavit and veracity of this unfortunate situation.
I want to thank you infinitely in advance for your selflessness and kindness of your heart it means the world to me, there are no words I can convey to you that can completely illustrate the echoes in my heart and in my family’s lives that your kind act has produced. I’ve never done any of this so I’m not sure how it works, but I will also like to contact and send a thank you card.

For those who decide not to help but can still send good vibes, a prayer, a good thought to my Family Noguera still thank you infinitely !!
