Covid19 Ear savers and Faceshields
Donation protected
I started printing face shields and ear savers for local hospitals, retirement homes, long term care homes, and hard hats which turned out to create more demand than I can satisfy with my single machine.
I posted on social media for other people with printers and with almost 8,000 views have not found anyone who can assist. I am now trying to increase my capacity to produce these things on my own.
To get the most bang for our buck, I am ordering the parts and assembling the printers myself. Each kit is $1,300 (CAD), so we increase the ROI of your heartfelt donations by using my time to assemble.
The first machine which has already been funded with be donated to Meadowvale Cadets club
If we get funding for a second then it will be donated to John Knox Christian School in Oakville for their STEM program.
I'm sure we can find more kids clubs and local schools if we fund even more machines than the first two.
We can produce about 12-15 shields per day, per machine currently. If we manage to get 10 machines we want to hit 150 shields produced daily for frontline workers.
We have found one school to join the printing cause and had another school lend us one so we are already catching up quickly and only looking to reach 1 more printer.
