COVID-19 Emergency Funds for WFU staff
Netta was always there for us with an omelette in our time of need, now it’s our turn to be there for her.
All Wake Forest Aramark employees have been suddenly left with little to no income in the wake of COVID-19. They loved us well when we were at Wake, and I’m sure each of us was impacted in some way by their kindness. They helped shape our Wake Forest experience and, among many things, provided us with food that (let’s face it) we could not have made for ourselves at the time.
If you have ever hear Darlene say “it’s my babies!!” As you walked in the Pit, or heard April yell out “I need a couch!!” When you ordered the famously delicious couch tomato flatbread, please consider donating whatever you can to make this chaotic time a little more bearable for all of them. If you didn’t hear Darlene and April say those things, I’m sorry you missed out but please consider donating so that you can hear it in the future! And if you don’t like pizza or the Pit, I’m also sorry you’re missing out, and you should still do it for Pro Humanitate.
They are as much a part of the Wake Forest family as any of us. Let’s be a family that lifts one another up when we need it most. In a time when we all have to worry about our health and that of our family members, let’s make finances one less thing on their minds.
All funds raised will go directly to the Chaplain's Fund for Wake Forest’s displaced staff. If you would like to donate directly to the Chaplain's Fund, which is being used to support displaced Wake Forest staff, please use this link: https://forms.secure.wfu.edu/giving?designation=other&comment=Chaplain%2527s%2520Emergency%2520Fund
