Covid-19 Face shields For NHS Staff

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic there is a national shortage of personal protective equipment, PPE, essential to the work being carried out by front line key NHS workers in the UK.

Our aim is to supply hospitals, GPs or anyone else that requires face shields with one’s 3D printed on our own personal machines. We have analyzed and picked the best aspects from other face shield designs to create a highly functional, and most importantly, fast printing face shield.

We can manufacturer approx. 6 shields per hour with just 3 people printing, and we are hoping to try and get as many people which are able to print involved in the Swansea and South Wales local area in order to increase production. Right now, we estimate each unit costs approx. £1 to produce, from filament, to elastics to the visor.

Any donations  will be going directly towards these costs, as our own personal supplies of plastic ate diminishing quickly the more we print, and no shield is complete without the other components we have to also purchase ourselves.
