COVID-19 Harmed Desmond Too!
Donation protected
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted Desmond's education at a critical point in his learning process. This interruption stopped the building blocks required to build a strong foundation essential to his educational growth and development. Furthermore, it had a negative impact on both his mental development and well-being, resulting in him developing a speech impediment: stuttering.
Because of COVID-19 and virtual learning, Desmond has fallen behind and his mother does not have the skills needed to assist him. A remediation strategy has been developed for him to become a better prepared to perform at grade or better in his classroom addressing:
-Augmenting his studies with Tutoring
-Introduction and use of “New Way” organization and
-Improving Study Habits; and new learning skills
Desmond's remediation strategy will cost money that his mother does not have or can get. He needs your help to close his education gap by sending donations, so he can obtain one-on-one professional tutoring for at least 6 hours a week for the next 9 months to master the basics and pass the 2nd-grade reading level at the end of the 2024 school year.
Please help Desmond learn to read and thank you in advance for your donation.
