COVID-19 INDIE DEV FUNDRAISING CONFERENCE IN VR

Donation protected
The Covid-19 Indie Dev Fundraising Conference in VR raises funds for indie devs and World Central Kitchen by bringing together developers and donors for dev talks and exhibition in 3D immersive virtual reality and indie games 11am PST June 25.

Attendees may attend the conference with their computer or virtual reality headset.

Donors may make a donation of $5 or more to:
1. Connect with indie developers at the conference
2. Hear developer stories at dev talks
3. Attend developer business, design, and development learnings panels
4. Meet with developers at the exhibition
5. Join developer discord communities
6. Access the indie games bundle
7. Support and choose how to divide their donation among indie developers, charity, and the conference

Default split is 65% divided evenly among participating indie developers, 20% to World Central Kitchen, and 15% to the conference. To customize your donation split, please email us at [email redacted].

Donors may join developer discord communities to obtain their game keys.

Instructions on how to attend will be sent out a week before the conference. In the meantime, interested attendees may join our weekly Meetups in VR to get a feel for what the Conference in VR will be like.

If you are interested in being a Community Partner to spread the word out about the conference and cross-promotion between communities, please email [email redacted].

Sponsors receive a sponsor presentation, sponsor booth, and promotion to our audience in newsletters, social media, and at the virtual conference venue.

Developers may level up to a Developer Sponsor by adding their game to the bundle and donating their proceeds to a charity of their choice, and we will announce their donations and charities to our audience.

If you are interested in participating as a developer, please complete this developer application.

More information on schedule, speakers, and exhibitors will be available at http://conferenceinvr.com, as we get closer to the conference.

About Indie Developers
Indie developers are often individuals or small teams pursuing their passion of making indie games from their apartment living off of savings, working part time jobs, or scrapping together freelancing work to pay for food and rent.

As a result of Covid-19's widespread impact to communities and the economy, many indie developers have been struggling to keep themselves afloat to continue pursuing their dreams.

Most indie developers have not made their big break or hit game yet and are on early access or pre-alpha prototypes of their games, are not charging for their games yet, and rely on the support of their communities to keep going.

Perhaps just as important as the monetary support, we highly encourage donors to check out indie developers' exhibition booths, get to know the individuals, listen to their stories, and consider joining their discord communities. Discord invite links will be provided at the top of each booth.

About World Central Kitchen
WCK is working across America to safely distribute individually packaged, fresh meals in communities that need support – for children and families to pick up and take home, as well as delivery to seniors who cannot venture outside. WCK is now active in dozens of cities providing over 250,000 fresh meals every day.

Traditional safety nets like school feeding programs, city services, and food banks are struggling to meet basic needs. Seniors, who are isolated for their safety, are unable to access meal services. Meanwhile, the country’s hospital workers are more stretched than ever before.

WCK is also now activating restaurants to help meet this demand by providing jobs for their staff and meals for those in need. #ChefsForAmerica is making a key connection between people who need meals and restaurant workers and drivers who need to earn a living.

About Conference in VR
The objective of Conference in VR is to connect amazing people around the world to solve problems and generate action and impact following the conference while being the safest, most cost effective, most time efficient, and best conference experience.

If enough attendees support and enjoy this conference and request another, we have our partners at the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in support of the World Health Organization lined up to be the focus of the next fundraising conference later this Summer.

Our very own small team of indie developers working out of our dev house in San Jose California works hard every day to organize problem-solving conferences and a virtual conference platform that enables amazing people like you to solve the problems you care about.

Please visit http://conferenceinvr.com to learn more about this conference and check out past conferences and meetups in VR.

Please email [email redacted] to learn more about using this free Conference in VR platform for your own fundraiser or event.
