Help us support our communities - Covid19 Response

The Coronavirus pandemic is a global issue that is affecting everyone; especially people who are already living in poverty. Vulnerable people including the homeless, sick and elderly are at greater risk from the disease. The economic effects are throwing more people into poverty, through reduced working hours, lost jobs and business closures. People are more isolated through lockdowns and quarantine or may simply find they can't get what they need on the supermarket shelves.

During this very difficult time Participate are reallocating some of our resources to support the individuals and communities affected by COVID-19. We are using our van to collect and distribute emergency food and supplies to those who are most vulnerable and isolated. This is part of a coordinated effort with Bradford Council and a central food hub. We are also trying to support other charities and community groups to ensure they are running effectively through this uncertain period.

We are looking for support to ensure we can continue to pay our staff, run our van and cover the fuel costs. Please donate if you can, or share on social media (that's free!) We have lost a significant proportion of our income through cancellations of employee volunteering programmes but with your help we can continue to support the communities of Bradford.

Thank you for your going and loyal support everyone, stay safe.
