COVID-19 Support Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Donation protected
If the Covid-19 pandemic has severely disrupted the day-to-day lifestyle of the financially stable, then it has put the underprivileged at risk of starvation worldwide. Residents including our branch church (Salvation Rock International Church) ministers and members in the Alem Bank neighborhood in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, are among the unlucky witnesses to this reality. This neighborhood is one of the slums in the city where residents are mostly day laborers and survive on hand-to-mouth daily earnings. However, due to strict measures undertaken by the government to limit public interactions in efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, residents of Alem Bank sub-city can’t leave their homes to look for work to make ends meet.
The reason we are shining a light on this community is that our branch church; Salvation Rock International Church (SRIC), is located in the heart of it. Almost all members of the church are residents in Alem Bank neighborhood. Covid-19 pandemic is taking its toll on this community, and families are struggling to stave off starvation. It is because of this fact that we at Emmanuel Disciples Church (EDC) have decided to take the initiative and start this fundraising to help alleviate the effects of the pandemic on as many of them as we can. SRIC ministers & members are increasingly desperate for assistance but EDC is unable to offer any due to its empty coffers. We look forward to your support and would like to thank you for making contributions to help save lives and keep families together. No amount is too small.
