The Covington Louisiana, Branch of the NAACP is trying to organize a 16-inch slow pitch softball league. We need your help.
The youths that we are trying to help are poor and disadvantage in every categorical index imagined. In their neighborhood there are no booming businesses creating jobs and opportunities. there are no shops, cafes or antique shops, no restaurants. Drugs and gangs hold these youths prisoners with no avenues of escape.
We are asking for your help! to save the children's
Our mission is to provide opportunities for youths to be active and involved. Idleness is a formula for trouble.
To reduce sedentary behavior which is attributable to childhood obesity.
Remove economic barriers to participate in youth sports.
Teach sportsmanship, teamwork and accountability: build character and discipline and the love of sports.
Encourage the players to have respect for the game, others, and themselves.
Please help us to achieve our mission and give a child a opportunity for a bright future.
