Cowboy needs our help NOW

Hi, my name is Mitch, and I'm the Secretary of Gympie Cats Australian football club. During the current floods that we are experiencing in the Gympie region, it wasn't just our Clubhouse and grounds that have been affected. Our beloved live-in caretaker, DJ - better known as 'Cowboy', has devastatingly lost everything.

Cowboys caravan is a permanent fixture just behind the clubrooms. Sadly, late this afternoon was inundated entirely by water with many valuables still inside. As the water swiftly rose, he lost his Ute whilst trying to get out. The water rose so quickly all that he could get out was a few tins of food and two spare sets of clothes. Cowboy is a much-loved character in and around our club; he volunteers endless hours assisting our AFL club, never asking anything in return.

It's now time we band together and give something back to someone who gives everyone so much.

 

We are trying to raise funds to help Cowboy live. Right now, he has nothing, no home and belongings.

Currently residing up at the RSPCA, in a sleeping bag. We are hoping our beautiful community will band together to help lighten the load and get him back on his feet.

(I will be withdrawing the donations under my name to make a cash payment for a van and or car once a suitable one arises, remaining funs will de given to Cowboy to purchase supply's to fit out/ stock his van)
