Cows for Cambodia Charity Trip 2016
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
My name is Kaela Smith. I am 24 from Adelaide SA. In November 2016 I am embarking on a volunteer trip to Cambodia with SA personality 'Cosi from South Aussie' and his amazing charity, Cows for Cambodia.
Around 60% of Cambodians earn $1 a day or less.
Cows for Cambodia is a charity set up to give those in need a leg up, rather than a hand out. Families are loaned a pregnant cow to care for according to strict animal welfare guidelines. Once the calve is born it is the families to keep, helping to break the poverty cycle.
As a condition of travel each traveller must raise a $2,000 donation for Cows for Cambodia before we leave in November to embark on this amazing journey.
The $2000 will be used by Cows for Cambodia to fund projects we will be working on while overseas including the cow bank project, rice runs and helping to re-build a village school house.
I'm extremely excited to go on my first ever overseas trip and I am humbled that while I am lucky enough to afford to travel that I can use my good fortune to give back to those far less fortunate than myself.
If you can spare a donation of any amount this is an amazing cause to support. In advance, I am extremely grateful of your generosity.
You can follow my trip on Facebook in November to see how your kindness has been passed on.
