Coyote Rescue Mission

Ayer por la mañana el Coyote encalló y fue evacuado. El barco colectivo Coyote Sin Fronteras, cuidado pour nuestro amigo Mar y muchas otras personas, chocó con el fondo en aguas muy poco profundas cuando intentamos transformarlo al puerto de Bonaire (Mallorca) a causa de fuertes vientos que llegaban.

Es un momento muy, muy triste pero tenemos muchas esperanzas en poder revertirlo y lograr salvarlo a pesar de la desesperada situación actual.

Como ya sabéis muchas Coyote es el barco colectivo de un proyecto que Mar inicio para compartir y transmitir su amor y conocimientos por la navegación con cualquier persona de corazón abierto, sin necesidad de fondos, el Coyote crece y se mantiene gracias alas aportaciones voluntarias.

Mar pone su corazón y su alma en este proyecto. Ahora las contribuciones son más necesarias que nunca ya que la suma de los gasto de reflotación, sacar el barco de agua y transportarlo a un lugar donde poder repararlo es muy grande. Un equipo de buzos está trabajando en la reflotación y el translado del Coyote a puerto, se achicará toda el agua de su interior y se terminarán de sacar las cosas que aún quedan dentro (afortunadamente ayer se pusieron poner a salvo casi todas las pertenencias de Mar y casi todas las cosas del barco gracias a la ayuda de la familia y de las amigas que viajaban con el). Se está buscando una empresa que transporte el barco a un terreno privado una vez desmontado el mastil y todo lo necesario. También tendremos que construir los puntales para que el Coyote descanse seguro durante el tiempo que dure su reparación.

Este proceso costará alrededor de unos 15.000€. Después hará falta mucho más para poder arreglarlo y devolverle la vida a este proyecto. Es por eso que nos comunicamos con toda la familia Coyote para pedir cualquier tipo de ayuda que pueda enviar. Ninguna contribución es demasiado pequeña. Todo suma.

Yesterday morning, Coyote was evacuated. The sailboat of the collective Coyote Sin Fronteras, founded by our friend Mar and lots of other people, hit shallow waters as we tried to move it to the harbour in Mallorca due to strong winds arriving. It’s a very very sad time and we are with strong hopes to be able to fix despite the desperate situation at the moment. As you probably know, Coyote is the collective boat of a project that Mar started to share his love for sailing with anyone with an open heart without needing any funds, on a contribution basis. He put his heart and soul onto this project, now is the time that contributions would be so greatly appreciated as there are so many expenses incoming. Right now, a professional crew of divers arrived to lift the boat from the rocks, and the plan is to move the boat in Port d’Alcudia here in Mallorca, empty the water and remove remaining things that we had to leave behind yesterday because of safety. Fortunately we still managed to save a lot thanks to a big help from all his family and friends present in Mallorca at this time. After, we are searching a company to move the boat on the land, to a place for Coyote to dry. This process will cost around 15.000 euros, and after that, still so much more will be needed to fix the boat and give life back to this project.
