What a wild and whacky ride its been, am I right? Going back to playing shows has felt weird at best since the pandemic started, so I've mostly been staying at home with the family, writing up a storm. I have well over 50 songs(well, 50 finished ones ) that aren't out there on the World Wide Web, and I'm itching to head into the studio this spring and get as many of them on tape as I can.

 

As you're all well aware, the traditional ways for musicians to afford recordings have either disappeared or put on hold. Being a performer, one of my most cherished environments is the crowd. It's our job to bring crowds together and get them to stay there, for as long as we can. Which is exactly what you don't want to do, if people are getting sick. I'm still playing some shows because, we have to, but it cant go back full blast right now.

 

Yet, I've got to get this music out of me somehow.

 

This March I'm going to be hiring some of the best musicians I know in Indiana, to drive down to Indianapolis to live around some microphones for a few days, and come out with a vinyl record on the other end. This will be a full length vinyl record with an accompanying digital download of a second album.

 

I'm asking for $5,000 in order to help mitigate the costs hire 8 musicians, rent the studio for three days, pay the engineers, buy pizza/tacos/beer, mix, master, and press 200 records.

 

Because, the Midwestern boy in me cringes at the thought of asking for money, I've tried to come up with some groovy benefits for all ya'll gettin down with the kick down.

 

So, here we are, me, offering you the moon in hopes that you'll want to contribute to my project.

 

Everybody contributing to this project will get early access to the music and some behind the scenes media like photos, livestream from the studio, etc.

I will be releasing this music EXCLUSIVELY to contributors until 2023.
