Support Jack's Journey to Recovery

Hi my name is Suzann Johnson and I appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. On May 8th our family was devastated when my brother Jack Like was severely injured in a fall. We are so thankful for the people on the scene who performed CPR and saved his life but he still sustained a major injury to his neck and spinal cord. This resulted in paralysis below the shoulders and the inability to speak and tell anyone what his needs are. It’s impossible for any of us to imagine a feeling as helpless as that.

Jack is blessed with an amazing wife who is his biggest advocate and supporter. She drives more than an hour each way to and from the hospital everyday and spends 12-14 hours a day by his side to insure his needs are understood and carried out.

Jack is employed as an administrative clerk for the Martinsville Indiana police department and also served the public for over 30 years as a 911 dispatcher. His wife is a nurse who has also given many years of service to people in need. Unfortunately, due to an accident that occurred on the job while serving his community his family is now in need of help.

We are hopeful with your help to raise $10,000.

These funds will help his wife to be by his side to advocate for his health needs and rehabilitation.

They will ease the burden on his family and allow them to deal with the normal costs of everyday living such as house payments, utilities, food, vehicle payments and gas etc…

Jack has made some progress since the accident which makes us hopeful that better days are ahead, but we know there are many months of rehabilitation ahead before his journey is over.
