CPD DESTROYED OUR MUSICAL EQUIPMENT

On September 15, 2023 the Chicago Police Department abused, harassed, destroyed our instruments and equipment even injured our band members and myself. In a city that praises itself to be full of diversity, it is extremely upsetting to see how abuse of power can be used to bring down the Mexican community time after time. They caused damages of over $10,000 and even bodily injuries. We are kindly asking our community to back us up on this one. Anything helps as we understand that these are trying times for our city.There is no hope in the CPD to give us any solutions to this situation Thank you for the support and we hope to keep doing what we love most, sharing the beauty of our culture through mexican music VIVA MEXICO!

El 15 de septiembre de 2023, el Departamento de Policía de Chicago abusó, acosó, destruyó nuestros instrumentos y equipos, incluso nos hirió a los miembros de nuestra banda y a mí. En una ciudad que se jacta de estar llena de diversidad, es extremadamente perturbador ver cómo se puede utilizar el abuso de poder para derribar a la comunidad mexicana una y otra vez. Causaron daños por más de 10.000 dólares e incluso lesiones corporales. Le pedimos amablemente a nuestra comunidad que nos respalde en este caso. Cualquier cosa ayuda ya que entendemos que estos son tiempos difíciles para nuestra ciudad. Gracias por el apoyo y esperamos seguir haciendo lo que más amamos, compartir la belleza de nuestra cultura a través de la musica mexicana ¡VIVA MEXICO!
